This is the logo I designed for our upcoming PC/Xbox space/scifi game ION. It went through quite a few iterations before this ended up being the one chosen by Dean. ionthegame.com

THE TERMINATOR - 30th Anniversary Movie Poster & Modern Trailers
I make no secret that I'm a big fan of The Terminator. It's been a favourite of mine since the moment I first saw it - I was mesmerised from then on. In fact I made a short blog about making a T800 Endo Skull last year (you can see it here).
To mark the 30th Anniversary of the movie's release I decided to illustrate the above poster, capturing the moment that Arnie first arrives and the rollercoaster thrill ride begins. I also rolled up my video editing sleeves and tried my hand at cutting together what I imagine a modern version of a trailer for The Termintor would look like if the movie was to be released today.
The first trailer is a longer more spoilerific cut (which seems to be the typical approach of many contemporary trailers), and the second cut is a sleeker, less spoiler-ey version. My one self-imposed rule for both trailers: do not show the robotic endoskeleton. After I released the trailer(s) I received a very kind compliment from Gale Ann Hurd (producer and co-writer of The Terminator): "Your ‘trailer’ serves as an absolutely fantastic reminder of the storyline and the film’s iconic imagery." That was very nice of her!

LYKAN HYPERSPORT - Dashboard Interface / UI Concepts
Some dashboard interface concepts I was commissioned to create for the new W-Motors Lykan Hypersport supercar. The client was after something very futuristic, to tie-in with the edgy aesthetics of the car body. Above are a few examples of the end result.

PITGIRL 04 - Head Exploration
I'm confused. Should 'she' be feminine looking? Or is that too cliche? Should there be a hint of a face (eyes/mouth), or is that too cliche? Or just a screen for a face? I'm still undecided.
There are a few more automotive references in some of the head variations shown above, namely the air intake-like forms dotted around the face.

PITGIRL 03
These sketches are getting much closer to what I'm after - sleeker forms mixed with a functional edge to certain details. Racing cars have been a big influence for me; curvaceous forms mixed with industrial detailing. The concept example shown here is maybe a 'Comms' Pitgirl - hence the aerial jutting out of her back - though these components would perhaps be interchangeable (clips on/off like a backpack) depending on the specific role required.

PITGIRL 01
So here we are with the first steps towards visualising a robotic 'Pit Girl' for a fictional futuristic motor racing championship. There are numerous references I could use for robotic females, such as Hajime Sorayama's retro chrome bots, or the product-oriented white plastic bot from Bjork's "All is Full of Love" music video. Instead I'm wanting to do something that is perhaps a bit more industrial and automotive-inspired. I'm not there yet - these are a starting point, but it's still very early days.
